Taiwan’s Control Yuan censured the Taipei Rapid Transit Department for construction failures on the Circular Line after the April 3 earthquake. Taipei and New Taipei City plan to sue BES Engineering Corporation for NT$1.927 billion (US$58.42 million) in damages.
